Pizza - FTLOF Way II

Make your very own personal pizza using a pita bread for the crust, it is fast and delicious. For vegetables use broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, onions or mushrooms - use your imagination. Use a whole-wheat pita for the most nutrition, and to reduce calories, carefully cut the pita in half lengthwise, so you have two circles from one pita. The pizza pictured in front is on a sliced pita, the one in back is made using the whole pita.
Serves Four
2 cups prepared tomato sauce
6 frozen meatballs, thawed and cut in half or 1 cup cooked chicken breast, diced
2 cups cooked vegetables or frozen vegetables thawed, chopped
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
4 6- inch pitas or 2 6-inch pitas cut in half lengthwise

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

For each pizza, spread 1/2 cup tomato sauce on the pita and top with 1/4 of the meatballs or chicken, 1/4 of the vegetables and 1/2 tablespoon parmesan cheese.
Bake for 8- 10 minutes until the pizza is hot. Serve right away.

405 calories using meatballs, chicken will be 325 a pizza, subtract about 100 calories if using only half a pita.
