Pomegranates Pomegranates

Inside the leathery skin of a pomegranate you will find small ruby colored seeds, delicious when added to a salad or mixed with yogurt. They are eaten raw and only the seeds are eaten, not the white pulp that surrounds the seeds.

Cooking Instructions

A pomegranate can be sliced in half and the seeds picked out one by one and eaten. A faster approach is to slice the fruit in half and place in a large bowl of clean, cold water. Gently break the fruit into smaller pieces and rub the seeds with your fingers until they break lose from the skin and fall to the bottom of the bowl. Continue until all the seeds have been set free. Discard the pulp, drain the seeds and eat out of hand or refrigerate until ready to use.
